Green Monkey is a progressive alternative-rock band from Chino Hills, California. Over the past year , Green Monkey has toured extensively in California, Playing shows up and down the coast. Green Monkey’ fan base is growing at a rapid rate, due to widespread talk over the Internet and their live performances. Green Monkey is known for their energetic live shows and infectious, inspired Alternative Rock.

The thing you notice most at a Green Monkey show is just how much they love expressing themselves. It is not just about making music for this Inland Empire-based Alternative-Rock quintet: it’s more about connecting with their audience. Playing live gives these guys energy and the audience picks up on that. The crowd becomes participants, and it fuels the band to dig in harder, take risks, and explore new ground with their music. With a high-octane live performance and intense sound, Green Monkey delivers to audiences who are looking for something more in their hard rock.
Fusing dark, alternative and hard rock influences, Green Monkey has managed to forge a sound uniquely their own. Founded just over a year ago, the band includes singer Mars, guitarists Izzy and Vicious V, bassist Mic and drummer Spida. The five have been writing, rehearsing and gigging relentlessly, with well-received shows at The Whiskey a gogo, Chain Reaction and The Key Club in Hollywood and performances in arenas throughout from Los Angeles to San Bernardino and Orange County. New lead singer Mars is bringing a new element to the Green Monkey sound.
Green Monkey (I.E) has already played venues such as the Key Club in (Hollywood) the World famous Whiskey a GoGo in (Hollywood), Chain Reaction (Anaheim), World Famous Friar Tucks (Pomona) Viper Room (Hollywood)
The band is currently working with The Bomb Shelter Studio in Westminter,Ca on their first album. The album should be released by March 2010.
