Green Street is a hip-hop group, consisting of emcees A-live and Soupa and producer Renaissance. Originally from Boston, MA and now residing in Brooklyn, NY, they are always trying to push the boundaries of popular music. By using everything from samples to live instrumentation, Green Street brings back the sound from the Native Toungues-era while still keeping it fresh and relevant for today's audience.
Often compared to the likes of A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots, Green Street brings a positive energy with their music, fusing true school hip-hop rhetoric with soulful jazzy backdrops. Their latest album, The Will to Win (2014), marks the triumphant return of the group after two of the three group members were diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses in the winter of 2012. The album features Raekwon, Camp Lo, Mickey Factz, ScienZe and more.
Green Street has been featured on MTV World, Revolt TV, XXL Magazine, Vibe Magazine, Okayplayer, 2Dopeboyz, HipHopDX, among other major media outlets.
