Greenwich Meantime is quickly becoming a hot commodity on the North American Celtic and World Music scene. Now in their sophomore year, the band has just released the follow up to their 2006 critically acclaimed debut CD. The newly minted "Proof" is just hitting stores and is being submitted to radio. The first single "Every Single Thing" was played over two thousand times in its first week alone on myspace and has already been added to several FM stations in Canada.
This year will see the band play many of the Northeast’s Celtic festivals and Theatres, and doing concert series appearances. Their music is also being included on a compilation CD called "Rootstomp" along side artists such as Enter the Haggis, Seven Nations, and The Prodigals to be released in the spring of 2007.
GMT is enjoying an ever growing fan base due to the strength of their performances and the energy that they put into their show. They are gifted songwriters, players, and entertainers and truly connect with their audience. This season the band will be featuring their new acoustic set at many of the venues that they’ll be appearing. This set evolved throughout last year and has become a fan favorite and inevitably brings the crowd to its feet for more.
2007 is shaping up to be a defining year for Greenwich Meantime. Armed with a striking new disk and a road hardened live show the sky is the limit for the band.
