Greenwood

BandRock

Greenwood is a four-piece band that brings together elements of modern and classic rock styles with an emphasis on catchy melody and rock solid rhythm. These songs will get stuck in your head on the way home, and stay there.

Biography

Greenwood formed its present lineup in the winter of 2005 and have been playing clubs in Seattle and the Northwest since that time. Founded by Adam Smith and Graham Amsden, the band added bass player Jerod Barnhardt and drummer Sean Lane. Jerod recently left Greenwood and has been replaced by C.J. Stout, who also handles backup vocals. While this band is hard to compare to another band, the influences are quite varied, from U2 to Built to Spill and Fugazi. What sets this band apart is the songwriting-- unforgettable melodies, engaging rhythms, and sincere, thought provoking lyrics, and an energetic performance that draws in any crowd.

Lyrics

Olive Way

Written By: Greenwood

The traffic light is black and white
I don't know when to go
The streets are getting steep
The sidewalk overflows

And I am so inside out
I am so inside out
That I can see my eyes
And I can't see your face
Tonight

I am so inside out
I am so inside out
I am so inside out
I am so inside

The traffic light is black and white
the air is getting thin
But we know enough the breathe
We know enough to breathe
Here tonight
Tonight
Tonight
Tonight...
