Bio

Greg Cross grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and started playing guitar at age 11. At the age of 15, Greg took up the drums and after three years of studying jazz, blues and rock, Greg started playing with various projects in the late 80’s and early 90’s. After playing in several different bands as a drummer, one of his band mates asked him to start singing back up and Greg was hooked! Greg started writing and singing songs for the blues/rock band, “The Crocodiles”, and has been writing ever since.

In the mid 90’s, Greg traveled the Untied States in search of inspiration for his songs and started to develop his skills as a singer/songwriter with his own blend of folk, rock, and blues. Greg found that he had a passion for writing original songs with substance and meaning! During this period, Greg worked as a sound engineer and tour manager soaking in various musical styles and impressions, which greatly influenced Greg’s songwriting technique and singing style.

In 2002, Greg met K. Timothy McDonald and found they had a similar love of music and rock & roll! Featuring the virtuoso guitar skills of K. Timothy McDonald, the duo wrote many blues & rock songs influenced by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Otis Redding and Led Zeppelin. Together with Bassist Marty Cohen, they formed "Kieran Cross", and played at cafes, bars, nightclubs, and fund raising events throughout California.

After two years with Kieran Cross, Greg decided to go solo and perform his unique blend of folk, rock and blues! With the help of some friends, Greg completed his first solo EP in 2005 featuring the song North Dakota! “There has been such a tremendous response to this song, people tell me they play it over and over; and that’s’ what I live for”!

Greg is currently touring the U.S. & Europe and working on a new CD for distribution.
