Gregg McMillan

Gregg McMillan

This singer/songwriter's music rings of old school rock and blues punctuated with acoustic trimmings. Sounding like Neil Young/Tom Petty/Skynyrd.

Former Bass player for the Dixie Desperados in the late 70's early 80's McMillan logged in coast to coast miles of road travel sharing stages as opening act to the Allman Brothers Band, Charlie Daniels Band, Molly Hatchett, Johnny Winter, Henry Paul Band, Pure Prairie League, Doc Holiday, Johnny Van Zant Band, Grinderswitch, 3 Dog Night, Pat Travers, Axe and many others. His new CD was produced by Jeff Sims and Stan Lynch(former TP&HB drummer, hit songwriter, producer) played on every track. McMillan lived in Nashville for ten years as a songwriter/waiter/bartender until relocating back to Gainesville in 1995. The CD upon it's first week's release debuted on Satellite radio XM channel 12 's "Smokestack" show hosted by Blackfoot as well as getting regional local airplay. McMillan is currently available for bookings to promote the new CD. He is doing opening shows with a band and performing as an acoustic duo/trio in the southeastern US currently. McMillan also currently plays bass with Mark Leadon(Bernie Leadon's brother) promoting his Americana/Bluegrass CD in the North Florida/Georgia area.
