Still working on that hot first release.

People always call visionaries crazy before their vision actually comes to fruition. In my opinion that's because a lot of us just don't have the guts to try to just put ourselves out there like that. People are afraid to dream big because they don't want to look like a fool in front of others. There are still a few people who dare to dream, and some of those few are lucky and go onto achieve great things. I think the fact that they ever dared to dream at all is a remarkable fact in itself. That's why I respect what Greg's doing so much. He's going against the merry-go round of life that we're all expected to ride on. He strives for something other than a 401K, having 2.5 kids, and receiving a decent interest rate for a mortgage on his house. He's on a path of self discovery, and he's not stopping any time soon. Not for anyone.

Born on November 15 1992 in Arlington,TX, Greg Hein has always just been trying to find what makes him happy. It wasn't until middle school when he discovered his love for rap music and the fact that he had a knack for freestyling that he decided to give the whole rap thing a try. So Greg started to begin to learn the ins and outs of rap to try and figure out what he wanted to sound like. He also learned what people expected to him to sound like. There are a few mainstream white MCs like Eminem, Asher Roth, Mac Miller, and Macklemore. People expected Greg to sound kind of like that, but they were in for a surprise. Greg isn't looking to fit into any certain niche of music, he's actually trying to make his sound own if possible and maybe even give Dallas the sound it's been looking for someday. He takes influences from all over the spectrum to create a very eclectic and interesting taste in music. From things as profound as cloud rap to the existentialism of indie rock to the sick ass bangerz you would find in top 40 pop and R&B. He also samples beats from all over as well from artists such as Lil Wayne, Minnie Ripperton, and Nine Inch Nails.

Greg's sound is just so very diverse, and I think that's the beauty of it. He has a very unique ability to make so many different sounds that I think everybody will find something that they like in it. No matter what you like or what kind of mood you might be in at the time, you will always find something that will satisfy you. After the advent of the internet, the communities that we once knew have grown into becoming more of a global community. Because of that everybody has a new, larger stage to spread their ideas and art. Somehow though Greg still manages to set himself apart, he's doesn't sound nor does he act like every other artist. He strives and sees something much bigger, he looks at this new global community as a place where good can be done for others, good ideas can be spread, and good music can be appreciated. You hear every artist out there calling for a movement, a change ,a revolution. A lot of these guys are just fakes trying to get noticed, but I know that Greg is one of the serious ones. And if you forget everything you read here remember this one thing...Greg is just going to get better and better. He's about to hit his stride and head to places that weren't even considered possible in the past. So open your ears and listen. I promise you won't regret it.
