"Review from CD Baby"

“Late Boomer is hot, mellow and groovin’ all at once...Cool mix of R&B, soft Rock and jazz.
Gregory Amerind's voice is an impressive, versatile instrument.” - CD Baby.com

"Sierra Star Review"

"It is a rare ocassion when a vocal soloist can carry his audience through a varied and extensive program on so high a level of listening pleasure as did Gregory Amerind. his fresh and quite beautiful voice, used in alomst a poetic, as well as completely sensitive understanding of each composer's song, was such as to surprise many in this still young artist. Amerind has a bright future, and that is quite easy to see and say when you have heard him." - Sierra Star - Harold Young

Bio

Greg Amerind has been performing since the age of 5 studying piano, trumpet and voice throughout his school years, eventually majoring in music and theater at UCLA and Cal State University, Northridge.
A songwriter and professional singer for many years in Los Angeles, his career includes stops in Musical Theater with lead roles in Applause, The Pajama Game, Promises, Promises, Guys & Dolls and The Baker's Wife, to name a few; nightclubs and concert venues, most notably with Pacific Jazz & Electric, a vocal ensemble he co-founded and for which he wrote and arranged much of the material; and studios, where he was often called upon to record demos for LA songwriters as well as for commercial, TV and Radio, and industrial projects.
He has performed with entertainers such as Ann Jillian, John Astin and Patrick Duffy in various projects, and appeared briefly in the film "The Jazz Singer" with Neil Diamond.
Relocating to Arizona in 1997, Greg has been active as principal soloist, composer/arranger and director of the SGI-USA Arizona Cactus Chorus, a lay Buddhist community group devoted to the cause of world peace through music and cultural exchange. He recently had the honor of conducting a 300-voice interfaith choir singing "We Are One" at Phoenix's Bank One Ballpark in commemoration of the September 11 attacks on America.
"Late Boomer" is his first CD release and is on sale now. His next CD, "Leap of Faith" is in progress and scheduled for release later this year. "Goddessongs" a choral work based on the Celtic Pagan traditional holidays, was completed late in 2003 and is by far his most ambitious composition to date. His catalogue includes dozens of choral and jazz vocal ensemble arrangements as well as over 150 songs in the genres of classical, pop, jazz, rock, R & B and show tunes.
Greg has also been a private voice instructor since 1982 and is currently finishing his Bachelor of Music in Choral Education at Arizona State University. He resides in Scottsdale, AZ with his beautiful wife Carrie, incredible daughters Alee & Brenda and, of course, Buddy, the wonder dog.
