Bio

Gregoire was writing and performing, recording and transcribing, six days a week as an electric player and then realized that he needed to rethink everything. No gigs, no sessions.. just studying and listening.

The aftermath of the decision? A flamenco guitarist personified through the lament of soleares and siguiriyas but also very much at home with seductive slide guitar work, spontaneous and heartfelt chordal and solo grooves from his modern music roots. His music is impregnated with a very heavy Andalucian feel brought on by the influence of flamenco artists like Carmen Linares, Manolo Sanlucar, & Paco de Lucia. There is a thick percussive influence from percussionists Manu Katche, Stuart Copeland, and Matt Cameron as well as pop sensibilities by those such as Chris Cornell, Paul McCartney, The Police & Peter Gabriel...

In the years following his time at the University of Massachusetts, Greg had worked with such high profile producers and engineers as Jon Siket (Sonic Youth & Phish) and Jason Corsaro of Soundgarden fame. He has worked with T.M. Stevens (bassist for Steve Vai & Billy Joel), Will Calhoun, Bernie Worrel and been invited to Paul Gilbert’s Las Vegas home to remove refuse from the bowels of his kitchen, but then played piano and talked about how great Elton John was.

He has performed at industry showcases at MGM Grand (Las Vegas), Mohegan Sun Convention Center, The Supper Club (NYC), The Polytechnic Club (Hartford), and countless recording sessions and special events on both coasts.

He has worked as an assistant engineer on countless sessions at Power Station New England, taught guitar, music theory and intuitive listening for several higher learning institutions like UNLV, UCONN, The Performing Arts Center of Worcester, Pomfret School, Rectory School, and now operates an invitation only studio in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
