Tijuana has long been regarded as the most important center for electronic music in Mexico.Because of the border situation there has developed a strong dance culture in the city and thus also a typical local sounds in music. This in turn has led to the city has become a bit of a musical catapult internationally, and received the electronic scene in cities like Chicago, London, Montreal and Berlin to turn its attention to just Mexico and Tijuana. The special sound seems to have originated partly by a genuine passion for electronic music among the city's musicians. And partly by the veterans of the genre happy to collaborate with "fresh disturbances" that brings new blood and thus makes the development ongoing.
One of these electronic music artists Eduardo Amezcua aka Grenda. He is the youngest of the artists of his 16 years. By merging layers of '80s hip-hop beats with pop, and to add a nostalgic glow Grenda has created a unique sound that is both laidback and innovative at the same time. I could not choose between 'Wrong' and 'You Better' so it had to be both. With this we want to thank for this year and wish you a Happy New Year!
