Bio

Greta Amada is a latin pop rock band from Colombia inspired by the alternative rock from the 90’s. This quartet from Bogotá it’s formed by Irene Loaiza (Lead singer), Nel Gómez (Guitar), José David Rojas (Bass) and Néstor Rojas (Drums). They introduce their first Extended Play called “Episodios Provocados” (Provoked Episodes), a genuine and esthetic approach that combines the sound from great artists such as Paramore and Soda Stereo (Argentina) with their own voice in order to create an unique and innovative sound.

During their trajectory, the band has received excellent reviews. Quoting Andrés Arroyo (Engineer and Producer, Subsónica Studio): “ Greta Amada it’s a band that offers fresh sounds, wrapped on high personality guitar riffs, accompanied by a sweet, yet powerful voice”. They have also won several competitions sponsored by important media such as Music Machine Magazine, in which they won first place among 143 rock bands from Bogotá or the Music in Movement Competition (Convocatoria Música en Movimiento) sponsored by Soundville in which they won second place among 60 bands in town.

At the present time, Greta Amada is promoting their first EP, “Provoked Episodes” in which they present, according to Iván García (Reporter and videographer, Radiónica), “songs that go from deep personal insights and at the same time, invite you to dance; with musical arrangements that remind you different sound styles framed by the professional quality of four colombian musicians that keep on dreaming, creating and longing for an opportunity to show the world their art”.

With their single “Espiral” (Spiral), Greta Amada has as its main goal to consolidate as one of the most promising pop rock bands on the local and national independent music scene. As Julián Sánchez (Film Director, Chirimoya Films), “Greta Amada offers and alternative sound experience, that really inspires you, and opens a new road among the so-many musical approaches, eager only to respond to a specific fashion”.
