Bio
Grey Reverend is the solo project of L.D. Brown. Originally trained as a jazz guitarist, L.D. began experiencing problems with his hands and was diagnosed with focal dystonia (a neurological disorder that effects fine motor skills). Forced to cope with the loss of dexterity in his hands, L.D. found himself drawn towards more subtle and simplistic folk and blues compositions.
Grey Reverend has been a featured artist on NPR's All Things Considered in the U.S. and has also been showcased on MTV, ABC, NBC, HBO, BBC and other networks worldwide. L.D. has toured with and has been a contributing member of The Cinematic Orchestra for nearly 6 years and has also worked with Bonobo, Fink, Lou Rhodes of Lamb, members of Wilco, Lizz Wright, Tortoise and many others. Grey Reverend just recently sang vocals for Bonobo's new single "First Fires" and will be touring with him this fall. A Heroes Lie will be released September 2nd, 2013.
