Bio
When asked what kind of music the New York-based band Grieving For Grace plays, the young quartet will simply state the obvious- Rock. Although clearly influenced by the likes of John Mayer, The Goo Goo Dolls Third Eye Blind, The Foo Fighters and even some of the great jazz musicians of the past, the band possesses an originality rarely seen today.
Monster choruses, precision rhythms and hypnotic melodies make Grieving For Grace one of the East Coast’s hottest up and coming acts. While cutting their teeth on the Long Island and New York City club circuit, they’ve garnered the attention of many in a short period of time. WLIR’s program director Harlan Friedman, a recent fan of the band, was so enchanted by the group that he immediately played their unsigned EP on the station’s specialty show “Tri-State Sound” and put their music into regular rotation.
The band has been working feverously at The Animal Farm in Glen Cove, NY with the Betamax production team, consisting of Sean French and Dave Caggiano. Grieving For Grace is currently in the studio recording more songs.
Passion for creating and performing music is the driving force behind Grieving For Grace. “Music is everything to me and sharing my dreams and inspirations with new people via our music is a dream come true,” states vocalist Jay Miller.
