BandFolkAcoustic

Lyrical acoustic folk with layered guitars and smooth harmony. Griffith/Holbrook sings of life, love, and the God Who richly grants both.

Biography

Brad Griffith and Billy Holbrook have been playing music together for nearly ten years. Most of their formative years were spent in the folk/rock band, SonColored Palette. Now they are venturing into uncharted waters with the launch of their ‘duo’ career simply known as Griffith/Holbrook. The first product of this new effort is their freshly released album, “Ruin My Life.”

The musical influences of the duo include the likes of Caedmon's Call, Derek Webb, Andrew Peterson, and Rich Mullins. The pair's uniqueness lies within their signature harmony and acoustic sound. Griffith/Holbrook has the ability to entertain yet encourage, to challenge yet love, and to perform yet participate with their audience.

Lyrics

One Is Enough

Written By: Brad Griffith

Millions of eyes ° I'm looking around ° Millions of lies all pulling me down ° A single you is waiting around ° For me to lose this company I've found

I'm turning around ° Walking away ° Shoot down all my reasons to stay ° Leaving them here ° You lead me on ° We're leaving every love behind ° Cause one is enough tonight

Millions of stars ° Destined to fall ° The light of your love ° You shame them all

I'm turning around ° Walking away ° I lay down all my reasons to stay ° Leaving them here ° You lead me on ° We're leaving every love behind ° Cause one is enough tonight

I'm turning around ° Walking away ° Without any reason to stay ° Leaving them here ° You lead me on ° We're leaving every love behind ° Cause one is enough tonight

Rainstorm

Written By: Billy Holbrook

And the rain is still falling ° Cold and gray makes the day ° But out the window life is calling ° So hey, man, what do you say? ° Won't you come out and play?

Cause you've got mountains to climb ° Adventure awaits ° You must find nothing less ° Than that straight and narrow way

It's time you believed in the truth ° Cause life is not all about you

Well, the rain can wash out your gutters ° And it can quench your thirst ° It's the love of the Living Water ° It's He who loved you first ° I said it's He who loved you first

It's time you believed in the truth ° It's time you went out your front door ° And made your way into the rainstorm

And the rain, it stops falling ° And the sun rises high ° In harmony with the rain of redemption ° Ain't it good to be alive? ° I said it's good to be alive

It's time you rejoiced in the truth ° It's time you rejoiced in the truth ° Go and dance in the rain ° Go and dance in the rain ° Make your way into the rainstorm

The Mind of the Lord

Written By: Brad Griffith

The mind of the Lord is a mighty wall ° No army could scale ° No kingdom could fall ° No heaven so high ° No ocean begin ° To fathom the depth this knowledge descends

Who can know the mind of the Lord? ° Who shall counsel Him? ° Who has given that He should reward? ° Who can understand the mind of the Lord?

(The mind of the Lord) can search a man's heart ° No cover can hide ° No corner is dark ° A man can deny he's the man that he is ° But the eyes of the Lord see his nakedness

The mind of the Lord has one resolve ° To pour out His blood to pardon us all ° Mysterious love ° This heart cannot grasp ° Such knowledge above ° It can only but ask…

Who can know the mind of the Lord? ° Who shall counsel Him? ° Who has given that He should reward? ° Who can understand the mind of the Lord?
