Aaron “Mag-T” Lewis and Mark “Macallee” McFarlane make up the Miami based hip-hop/reggae group GRIMMI GRIMMI. Influenced by different genres of music(i.e. R&B, rock, etc.) makes their eclectic and rather unique approach will bring a brand new flavor to the industry.

Grimmi Grimmi’s current project is a mix CD intended to promote the launch of their website GRIMMIGRIMMI.COM. They have been performing on shows in New York, Toronto and Miami. In the meantime, they are putting the final touches on their first album. With their unflagging energy and a wealth of talent, the two have since used their inimitable style with live venues, “dub plates” and mix CD’s for various DJ’s across North America. A number of independent artists have also commissioned them to write as well as produce their material.

Originally, the two were born in Jamaica but didn’t meet until their high school years. Grimmi Grimmi was formed around the late nineties. While they both could rap, Macallee could also sing and Mag-T was becoming a prominent producer. So far, the group has been an integral part of several compilation albums including Grizzly Cat’s “Cobb Webb Riddim” and on 2Rude’s “Rudimental”. Their song on Rudimental was released as a single, which later went on to win a Much Music Award for best video. The duo has also featured on the Rascalz album “Reloaded” on which Mag-T did a remix for one of the songs.

Being as talented as they are, the group has other aspirations; such as acting. Macallee featured in the street favorite movie “Shottas” alongside names like Wyclef Jean, Spragga Benz and Kymani Marley. The group also has a song on the soundtrack titled “Bad Man” that is produced by Mag-T.

Even with the mix-tapes, the website and their soon to be released debut album, there’s a whole lot more to come from Grimmi Grimmi. They are now looking to break into the music industry and add to hip hop history.
