"Their gristly, roadhouse swagger fuels short, punchy tracks that speak from the rock ‘n roll soul of the American South.” Death and Taxes
“This Atlanta, Georgia foursome add layers of rural lilt to their Brit-ish pop, garagey grit to others, while sneaking out slight-psych guitar blasts and gang yalps when least expected. ” CMJ.com - CMJ.com
“Finding an impressive middle ground… easily slip in somewhere between fellow Atlanta natives The Black Lips’ chaos-infused compositions and MGMT’s sing-along medleys.” Paste - Paste

Bio
Atlanta-based rock quartet Gringo Star, consisting of brothers Nick Furgiuele and Peter Furgiuele, plus Pete Delorenzo and Matt McCalvin, originally called themselves A Fir-Ju Well before adopting their jokey new name. All four members are multi-instrumentalists who jump around among guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, accordion, kazoo, and tambourine on-stage. After building up a local following, they released a self-titled debut EP on September 18, 2007. Their latest effort was just released in 2011, COUNT YER LUCKY STARS.
