By definition, to "groove" is to be affected with pleasurable excitement. While a "syndicate" is an association of people formed to promote a common good. So what is Groove Syndicate?
First and foremost, we are a band. But we ain't Top 40, nu-metal, emo, wedding, garage, or lounge. Nor are we simply a cover band. Groove Syndicate is a collection of different tastes, styles, experiences, and musical directions all brought together to fulfill one noble purpose: to make your booty move.
Call it Funk, R&B, Blues, Soul, or Jazz and we'll say "Oh yeah!" Because it's all that ... but not any single one for too long. The common denominator? We play music that moves us ... and we hope it moves you too. If that ain't a common good ... what is?
