9-14-05 Well all i can say is that these guys have it all together. The band coming out of Niagara Falls, NY brings Frogchin their latest professional single "IF IT WAS", recorded and produced by: Dave St. Onge. Their latest single has everything and more to become the next big hit. Marvelously put together with an effective marriage of harmonies and power guitar. Lead singer Jamie Helms brings it home with his band members Mike Cota on Drums, Kile Hurlburt Guitar-Vocals, Mario Nobilio Bass.
AS TOLD BY A REP OF THE BAND: "Emerging out of Western New York a band creates a unique sound and style which can only be called Groundless. A hard band to label Groundless at their most basic sound would be considered rock; however, Groundless believes the style of the music should reflect the mood for the song. From light to heavy, poppy to obscure, Groundless covers a wide spectrum of music breaking away from the rules of being an average band. With the members coming from a variety backgrounds and interests, it is easy for Groundless to write different music and concentrate on the emotion and feel instead of being confined to one set style of music. Groundless is comprised of drums, guitar, bass, and multi-layered vocals. Starting off the band with a multiple range of vocal styles is Jamie Helms. Jamming out with hard driving, sometimes experimental, guitar playing is Kyle Hurlburt. Filling in the lush vocal harmonies, and thumping bass lines is Mario Nobilio. Finalizing the bands sound with thunderous, intricate, and grooving percussion is Mike Cota. The goal for Groundless at every live show is to bring the audience along with them on a roller coaster of sound. "We are a circus type of band, on stage anything goes. We should start a tour with our own animals and merry-go-round. (Laughs) Happy, say, dark, and just plain silly when we play live our job is to entertain our audience", says Jamie Helms. On stage is where Groundless feels most at home, and it shows in their playing and presence. They are the type of band that's pretty much willing to play anywhere at any time. Currently playing venues of all type throughout the Western New York area, the band is getting ready to expanding their show all over the east coast and beyond. Groundless is putting the finishing touches on their first full-length CD, as well just releasing a two song CD single which is available at all of their live shows. All and all Groundless is not your average band; they are the type of band that needs to be experienced. "
