Groundwork is a band out of Edmond, Oklahoma. They carry the soul and talent of all your favorite music acts combined. Groundwork shows up to entertain listeners with exciting live music. A show with this up and coming band will leave any one in the crowd with rhythms and remarkable jams making an everlasting impact on a their perception of live music. With their perfect rhythm and melodies, balanced from stage left to right, catching your groove has never been easier. Groundwork sets up with impressive harmonies(Jon Pat Dickinson/Ethan Larsh/Tony Bui), drums that don’t miss a click(Clint Fisher), two keyboards to balance the octaves and tones(Ethan Larsh/Tony Bui), a smooth bass line to solidify structure(Rob DiGiovanni), precision lead guitar to enhance the experience(Dan Geer), the funk in a rhythm guitar to bring up the vibe(Jon Pat Dickinson), and vocal melodies that redefine music today(Jon Pat Dickinson/Ethan Larsh). Whatever your genre is, Groundwork is bound to play it on any given night.
With roots from rock, blues, jazz, funk, acoustic, and jam band, Groundwork incorporates all of these genres together, in turn, they have a well rounded repertoire that appeals to all demographics and keeps them dancing all night long.. Therefore most would agree that Groundwork is best described as good old fashion American Rock N’ Roll. Their set lists will vary depending on venue, but Groundwork has a nice blend of original music to satisfy a full night, or a strong library of covers to fill up a complete set. This band has found themselves at venues, big and small, bringing large crowds on a consistent basis. Groundwork consists of 6 members that come from a very wide range of performing experiences. The group has preformed at multiple festivals and other major events in and out of Oklahoma. Groundwork prides themselves on providing an excellent experience for anyone involved and plans to hit the road again in the up coming summer of 2010 following the release of their next album in May, and spotlighting their tour with a performance at Wakarusa Music Festival. With the focus to transition this Oklahoma City Band into a national spotlight, Groundwork is geared up and ready to take on any venture put in front of them.
