Grrlplea is the cinematic pop project of Aisha Wells, a Stanford graduate from the class of 2011. Grrlplea began making electronic music 5 years ago. Influences include Metallica, The Hunchback of Notre Dame soundtrack, and the aesthetics of The Undertaker filtered through early 80's Madonna pop. One of the main goals of Grrlplea is to create a kind of 'cine-pop' that blends soundtrack instrumentation, the bombast of WWE entrance music, and pop song structure.
