"EverythingOshaun - You Shouldnt"

EverythingOShauN is here with a new sound, giving you a taste of what’s to come from his upcoming project. The dark melodic production on “You Shouldn’t” is handled by his brother Xpress aka DJXP and the accompanying video is directed by Ashley Iris Gill. This serves as the first single from OShauN‘s “Until Then…EverythingO…Can’t Be For Nothing” which is set to release later this year. - Thisiswalder

"Staasia Daniels Profile"

RNBCanada: Who are you and what do you do in the Canadian music industry?

Staasia Daniels: I am Staasia Daniels, a turtle on skates racing to the top. In the Canadian music industry I am a singer, a songwriter and an entertainer striving for success notoriety.

How would you describe Canada’s R&B scene?

I would describe Canada’s R&B scene to be in somewhat of a stand still. There is not a lot of progress but at the same time it hasn’t digressed in a major way. I can sum it all up with one quote. “There are too many artists and not enough supporters”

What drives you to stay in the Canadian music business that is rarely profitable and highly competitive?

What drives me to stay in the Canadian music business is not the fact that it’s rarely profitable due to the lack of outlets but there is more than just our borders to consider when one is striving to be a successful artist. I am going to be a successful artist who is proud to be Canadian born. Competition is high in anything you want to do whether it be in the entertainment business, or simply a 9-5.There’s a ton of talented musicians here, but what drives me is MUSIC alone. It’s better to try and fail than fail to try.

Who is your favorite Canadian R&B/soul singer and why?

My favorite Canadian R&B/Soul singer right now is Tamia and Shi Wisdom. I have always been a fan of Tamias’ work over the years. Her voice is extremely soothing, warm and her music still bumps to this day. Shi is an incredible vocalist that I have grown to admire after hearing her perform many times.

What is your favourite Canadian R&B/soul song?

I’d have to say that “Stranger In My House” by Tamia & “My First Night With You” by Deborah Cox are my favorite R&B/soul songs.

Which artists have you worked with that left an impression on you and why?

OShauN who is a rapper, he’s my team mate from GSXMusic. He is a part of why Staasia Daniels is who she is, he’s helped me realize that I can do many things with my voice that I was afraid to do, and that it’s okay to really ‘be me’. The impression he leaves with me after working with him all day can’t be summed up in one sentence. Tamara Madison my bff has always told me “If you don’t believe in yourself, you can’t expect anyone else to” and that 100% truth that I know applies to her as well .Owen O’sound has helped me on numerous occasions with vocal lessons, and he’s just awesome over all. Haley Small’s passion, her drive, working with her has left a good impression on me as well.

Which Canadian artist would you most like to collaborate with?

I’d like to collaborate with Luu Breeze.

Tell us about past and present successes people would know you for.

Honestly, I am a rookie in this R&B scene. I have only been doing this for a year and some change. Although some may know me for my original “11 O’clock” and the covers I have done, 2013 will depict my smart work paying off, gaining more fans, more recognition for my craft and more success.

What do you have planned next?

Next and onward I will continue to release videos for, originals and covers, I have a few shows that I will be performing at in the new year, not to mention our own GSXMusic showcase. My EP “A Turtle On Skates” will be released and I should be traveling a lot more.

Anything you’d like to add?

Never underestimate a turtle who can skate. Be sure to check out OShauN who will be releasing his Everything(O) Mixtape, and the “ Odition” album, LOTS of videos to come.

"HipHopCanada Presents EverythingOshaun - Ovature"

Toronto, ON – GSX Music presents Toronto native Oshaun‘s first single off his forthcoming album Everything O. In music knowledge, overture is the term originally applied to the instrumental introduction to an opera. Produced by in-house producer Xpress, Ovature (stylized from Overture) is bass heavy, orchestrated madness that is built to rumble car speakers and club walls everywhere. Standing on its own, the record takes us into Oshaun’s mind, boasting a balance of lyrical prowess and giving listeners a glimpse of his satire. So sit back, relax and watch the curtains unfurl to witness his “Ovature” begin. - MINIGOTCHU

Still working on that hot first release.

GSX Music Artists EverythingOShauN, Staasia Daniels & Xpress aka DJXP have just returned from Austin,TX for this year's (2015) SXSW ( ) with an electrifying showcase as Official Performers and are looking to continue the energy and momentum with festivals and gigs in Canada and the U.S this year and continuing to the next.

*Please Note, Because GSX Music is an indie label and versatile in performance arrangement, if for your show you would only like to book one talent instead of the 3 that is also possible, simply make that request upon contact.*

OShauN aka Everything O aka EverythingOShauN embodies the perfect balance between smooth yet rough around the edges. With melodic and lyrical deliveries combined with passion driven into his records, OShauN sets to be a palette of inspiration from the likes of Kanye, Kid Cudi and Big KRIT as opposed to carbon copies of them. Crafting sounds with brother and label-mate Xpress aka DJXP and performing in both Canada and the US (including opening for international sensation P-Square), and a recent electric performance at the 2015 SXSW they aim to give a different perspective of a familiar feeling of the music coming from Toronto and what that embodies. With his project "Until Then...Everything O Can't be for Nothing" set to release soon, OShauN hopes to win fans and critics over alike and turn them into believers of Everything O and GSX.

Staasia Daniels

Staasia is a charming yet edgy singer and songwriter with a voice and style to match. Despite a trying life, she is full of infectious joy and life, channeling her many feelings and struggles into beautiful lyrics through her lush vocals. Her charisma is loved beyond borders, having had her song "No Matter What" reach top 5 in New Jersey's "Most Rotated Independent Singles", named "YouTube Artist of the Month" by Australian StarCentral Magazine, and being nominated for "Best R&B Singer" at last year's Black Canadian Awards.

Xpress aka DJXP

XP is an amazing all-around musician: dj, producer, writer, rapper, and performer. He can skillfully blend and create sounds from multiple genres (hip-hop, R&B, EDM, house, funk, soul, rock, 90s, disco, dancehall, and so much more), eras (old-school and modern), and styles (underground appeal and mainstream appeal), and they all come out as gold for the ears and electricity to the body. He also produces songs and offers backups for EverythingOShauN and Staasia Daniels and Dj's in their sets.
