GT Hurley

GT's music is Western, it had an edge that most will not associate with what has been commonly called Western Music. This certainly isn't a "Sons Of The Pioneers" matinee Western sound. GT sings songs about todays and yesterdays West, the West he lives in. You will find true stories, ballads, and upbeat hard driving songs like "Tough Horses" and thought provoking songs such as "Damascus Road." You will not be disapointed. Produced and recorded with top musicians under the guidance of one of West

GT Hurley, Cowboy Singer/Songwriter, breeds ranch raised Quarter Horses. He makes his home under the shadow of the Crazy Mountains in Big Timber, Montana. Living, and working in the ranching community, he writes about the West as he sees it. GT is a retired U.S. Marine and has worked as a cowboy and a hard rock miner. He writes and sings about the life he has lived. His memories of the taste of gunpowder, the smell of horse sweat, and the damp dark, of the hard rock mine, will transport you into the story he tells. GT has performed at festivals throughout the West such as Lewistown, Montana, Heber City, Utah, Grand Encampment, Wyoming and Ellensburg, Washington. He has opened for entertainers such as Baxter Black and Jon Chandler, and has played on the same stages as top performers Dave Stamey, Juni Fisher, and Sons of the San Joaquin. Nominated for the 2012 Crescendo Award, GT has showcased at the WMA Awards in Albuquerque, NM, and is the Vice-President of the Mon-Daks Chapter, of the WMA, covering the Montana and Dakotas. He has released his first Album entitled, “Tough Horses,” which has been produced by renowned Cowboy Entertainer, Dave Stamey.

GT Hurley "Tough Horses" released 15 Sept 2012.
