Guapo hails from the city of Sanford right outside of Orlando, FL. He has been rapping ever since he was in high school when he was with a group called Diamond ICE. While he was dabbling in rapping Don also started producing.
"I needed beats to rap over and I couldn't afford to buy them so I decided to save my money and get my own equipment and produce beats for me and my group," said Guapo. While he was building his production company, Lab Work! Productions, he made a name for himself across Sanford and Orlando by working with several local artists. After working with several local groups and labels that fail to stay together, Guapo is doing everything on his own with a small team in which he calls, "The Work!". He is very confident that his career will elevate and people all over the world will appreciate his production and rap ability.
Guapo released two singles in 2008. "Fresher than a Peppermint" and "Octane" have been receiving rave reviews on the showcase and club circuits between Atlanta and Miami. In 2009, Guapo dropped another single, "I Feel Like...(Superstar)" and a street album, "The City is Mine" in 2010. Guapo looks to release a host of mixtapes and an EP in 2011. Guapo is definetly an artist that is here to make a statement.
"My ultimate goal in entertainment is to bring good, timeless music to the table." "My sound is something the world needs to hear.," said Guapo.
