Heavily reggae/south american groove influenced with a punk attitude and socially/introspective oriented lyrics. Bilingual, grimy nyc demeanor with catchy melodies and pumping bass lines.

Marco Guarino is the head honcho in Guarco. He grew up in Elizabeth, NJ, an immigrant heavy city. He grew up listening to Pink Floyd and The Beatles as well as alot of latin music because of his surroundings and b/c of his Uruguayan heritage. He started recording his own music at the age of 13 on a dual cassete deck. Spending four years in Uruguay brought to his attention not only a vast variety of musical styles, but also gave him a unique point of view, especially in subjects relating to immigration and being a foreigner. He teamed up with Ben Kane in 2006 to record his debut album and has been performing his songs throughout nyc ever since.
