GuessWorks love music in it's purest form - a musician and his instrument. They specialize in arranging the classics and their originals and adding their own vibes to each song. Acoustic music done right.

Biography

GuessWorks musical arrangements and original songs are the result of 5 lifetimes of musical exposure and performance. Comfortable performing in a variety of venues, quiet crowds in typically conversation-filled rooms are riveted to the spellbinding sounds in which they are immersed.

Guessworks is an acoustic band whose members are vocally elite and instrumentally versatile. Their arrangements of retro music and their own songs are stylized by great solo vocals and harmonies, punches of bass, provocative innovations on violin, intricate finger-style sounds of guitar, and cascading mandolin.

GuessWorks is comprised of four siblings and their father. Their songs and harmonies are advanced and well-interpreted because of their relationships with each other and their musical experience which spans their lifetimes. Their beginnings as an acappella group has propelled them to the forefront of vocal excellence. Their attention to detail exudes from every note. Their sound is distinctly their own as are their arrangements - they are simply, "GuessWorks."

Lyrics

What A Wonderful World

Written By: Sarah Guess

There are roses in the garden, so we can smell them,
There's a candle in the window, so we can see now,
And the shoes on our feet, so they won't get injured,

Chorus: What a wonderful world,
what a wonderful world this is!

The sun in the sky, so things all look brighter,
And the moon at night, with its silvery glow,
And the air that we breathe, it gives each place its own smell,

Chorus

These words on the paper, they all have meaning,
And there are doors on the house, so you won't get stuck inside or outside,
And there are keys just in case, so

Chorus

Bridge: The bees are out there, and the rats are, still.
The roach is out to get you and the spider to kill!
The fungus growing older and the dust pile, too.
With lots and lots of hairballs, and a hairy mildew, but......

There are roses in the garden, so we can smell them,
There's a candle in the window, so we can see now,
And the sun in sky, so things all look brighter,
And the moon at night, with its silvery glow,

What a wonderful world, What a wonderful world,
What a wonderful, Wonderful world.............this is!
