Guided by Lights is a band from Brighton. They make orchestral-sounding indie music that you can dance to.
Adam was at one time busking his songs on the streets of Brighton with a travelling Israeli fiddle player. He met Emma in 2008, who played violin, piano, clarinet, saxophone, mandolin and some things that she forgot. Ben brought even more instrumentation, and together the three began creating their musical niche. Drummer Steve and bassist Phil had both long-served in various indie bands before they came along to give the band it's dance-oriented backbone.
Guided by Lights have made two self-released EPs; 'Courage comes between us' with the first acoustic line-up in September 2009, followed by 'Safety in houses' in May 2010 after the full band was formed.
A full-length release is planned for the end of 2010.
