A closer look

Guilty In A Sense, when they first started out in 1999 were a three piece original and cover rock band. The bands roots were really formed many years before with band members Tommy "Thunder" Chaffee and Levy Elegino who grew up together and had influences from the 60's, 70' and 80's artist's like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Cream, ZZ top just to name a small few. They had friends that had brothers that played music that would let Tommy and Levy use some of their equipment so the they could learn to play, and they did just that. They would haul the stuff on foot over a mile or so to Tommys house and play as much as they could, usually until the police were called to break up the gathering or complaints of loud music.

Over the years they played but were still also growing up Levy went into the military and Tommy off to build a career and a family. After the years went by Levy brought Guitar player Chopper Naimen to meet Tommy. Levy and Chopper had been playing over the past few years and it was time to come full circle and make a killer band. At this time Tommy was playing guitar also as was Levy and Chopper and they did some great acoustic sets, but the three knew they had to get Tommy back on the drums and Levy would play bass and that's when it all took off and Guilty In A Sense was formed.

The band became very diverse in their music playing all kinds of rock and blues from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Since it’s inception, the band’s line-up has included Levy Elegino on Vocals and Bass, Chopper Naiman on Guitar, and Tommy “Thunder” Chaffee on Drums. The band continued to play and also was writing.
In 2011 bring in a Vocalist to front the band, even though levy had a great and powerful voice. He was just never as comfortable with a bass as he was a guitar when he sang. After many auditions and no body filling his shoes as well as he did and still no singer a new I dea came up. Tommy was playing in a second band with a bass player named Dean Biller . Dean had played with Tommy in several bands and they were a tight rhythm section. There it was under their nose the whole time.

The bands new CD entitled "Dreams I Once Had" shows off all the bands talent with a mix of rock that will keep everyone wanting more. The live shows have proved that. Their fans want to hear more of their music and less covers! Continuing to pack the house and build more and more fan base seems to be an easy task for them. Music is their life and passion !
