Gunpowder Secrets ANNOUNCES the release of debut EP
“Something That’s Worth It”
-- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE --

January 25th, 2011, - (Los Angeles, CA) – The highly anticipated release of the vastly emerging hardcore/pop punk Los Angeles based band Gunpowder Secrets’ debut EP “Something That’s Worth It,” is soon to be released online and in-stores following their official release party at Viper Room on February 4th, 2011. The band consisting of members Mo Smesme (vocals), Greg Monty (guitar, vocals), Nathan Hostetter (bass, vocals), Brandon Wood (guitar) and Chet Lang (drums) have been working non-stop in the studio, alongside co-producer Randy Wine, to create a line-up of sonic excellence for “Something That’s Worth It.”

Having played at some of the top venues in Los Angeles including House of Blues, El Rey Theatre, The Roxy and more, Gunpowder Secrets is ready to take a leap from an independent release to a major scale, already generating major interest. In the interim of a full length release “Something That’s Worth It” is an EP inspired by the bands perseverant drive for success within the ever-changing turbulence of the music industry.

“We wanted to produce a record that would inspire both fans and like-minded artists and
musicians to keep on fighting for what they believe in. At times things feel chaotic and confusing with the trends of the current industry, but we have stuck together as a unit. Over the years we have grown as musicians and people, and at the end of the day we’ve realized we want this and no matter where it takes us, the journey is something that’s worth it,” states Greg Monty, guitarist for Gunpowder Secrets.

“Something That’s Worth It” consists of a six song line-up including “I’m Not Coming Home,” ‘A Little Bit More,” “Running Away,” “The Meaning of Colors,” “Feed Me My Throat,” and title track single that goes for radio adds at the end of February. All tracks can be found on iTunes and stores.

The band will hold their official EP release at the Viper Room on February 4th, 2011.
