Gus Fafalios

Gus Fafalios

Gus is an exceptionally talented guitarist and prolific songwriter who has been playing throughout New York for many years. He has a diverse musical style that ranges from world to rock and is the spokesperson/endorser for the You Rock Guitar.

Gus was born and raised in New York City. His early influences include UFO, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, early Rush, early Alice Cooper, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. He continues to reside in New York and is involved in a wide range of musical projects including recording with rising hip hop star Notar and former American Idol finalist Sarah Mather. He plays too many projects to count including a Deep Purple tribute with three former members of Rainbow, the B.B. Kings All Star Whiskey Rocks band, and many other original and cover bands. In addition, Gus recently signed on as a spokesman/endorser for the You Rock Guitar®. His debut cd “Night Fishing”, released last year, showcases his exceptional versatility covering everything from flamenco to metal ... he even plays a bouzouki, embracing his Greek heritage. The lineup of guest musicians includes Kenny Aaronson (Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Derringer), Steve Holley (Paul McCartney And Wings, Ian Hunter), Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, Dokken), Keith Christopher (Georgia Satellites), Lorenza Ponce (Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi), John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen), Jimmy Kunes (Cactus, Savoy Brown), J.P. Bowersock (Ryan Adams and The Cardinals) and many others. “...Night Fishing takes you on a musical out-of-body journey through sounds both familiar and new...” SiR Magazine

While Gus constantly downplays his technical ability, ‘I don’t get paid by the note,’ his tone and searing guitar solos continue to amaze anyone who sees him play. An avid fisherman (and a member of the New York State Bar) Gus has a very unique and original perspective on the music industry. His sense of humor and the fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously make him a refreshing change of pace.
