"Gutta": sounds like a typical rap group you might say, yet these three
twenty-something life long friends would beg to differ. Mista Red, Broderick B
and Tote J make up the Birmingham, Alabama trio
Although their roots are in rap they pride themselves on being diverse. They
enjoy dabbling into Rhythm and Blues, as well as Spiritual worlds of music. They
have taken a daring leap where few other "rap" groups have gone. They combine
street lyrics with a message of spirituality. A positive message can be found in
most of their songs; "Last Days" telling the compelling story of the state of
the world today; "Mama, Thank You" is a tribute to mother's everywhere. Self
proclaimed 'hustlers' the group "Gutta" has made it their business to take on
the task of making an unforgettable mark in there hometown. The street buzz has
already started. Gutta, by performing in local clubs and selling their own CD's
has already gottten some folks tal! king. So, now it's time to introduce
something refreshing, innovative, as well as, entertaining to the world of
music. Let's just call it "Gutta" music.
