"Guy Fox Debuts a New Song"

"Having uprooted from Maine and made their way west to San Francisco (a city the band call “a place full of creativity”), Guy Fox have been unveiling their own brand of vivid indie pop to a new audience of receptive Californians. Powered by tidy guitar lines and pretty piano chords, the band’s lush and joyous arrangements are punctuated by trumpets, trombones plus other assorted treats." - The Deli Magazine (SF)

"Guy Fox Single Release"

"The track takes the band in a dreamier, almost space-age direction without sacrificing their great sense of rhythm that was so prominent on their prior releases. Guest vocalist Lalin St. Juste of The Seshen adds a stellar verse, and her beautiful voice meshes perfectly with the Guy Fox harmonies." - The Bay Bridged

"Guy Fox at the Rickshaw Stop"

"The group's sense of humor and lighthearted nature is matched by their dedication... They have a way of making any venue feel like someone's living room, everything else falls away until it becomes you, your friends, and a good old fashioned dance party fueled by live music. Effortless is the word I'd use to describe their musical talent." - KQED Arts (NPR)

"Guy Fox- "You""

they simply make fun, danceable music with a touch of classic soul - The Bay Bridged

"Guy Fox"

They display a seemingly endless capacity for innovation ... There's definitely some kind of magic surging through here - Did Ya'll Hear That?

Bio

Guy Fox is an explosion of talent and eclectic songwriting - an apt description for a band that shares its name with an 17th century assassin that literally tried blow up Britain’s Parliament. The band is made up of northeastern transplants, all of whom are students of music steeped in different idioms. Fun dancy high life vibes, rich harmony, large band arrangements, carefree induced indie vocals, hints of old soul and funk breaks, with a little grit of alt rock are swirled together to make cohesive, well balanced music.

Nate ("Noodle") and Greg packed up their car and moved to the Bay Area (despite the fact only one of them had ever been to SF... at age 12). But as guitarist/saxophonist Greg puts it “there was the romantic pull of San Francisco as a place full of creativity, and of course the fact that we wanted to pursue music, and we wanted to do that with Pete behind the drum kit.”

After a year of playing house parties and underground venues, Guy Fox's debut EP was released in early 2012, followed by sold out shows at top SF venues like Bottom of the Hill, Cafe du Nord and the Rickshaw Stop. The band also picked up accolades such as The Deli SF's "Artist of the Month" and Rasputin Music's "Buzz Band of the Week".

Their newest recording is being released at The Independent on April 26, 2013, with the band's first national tour scheduled this summer.
