"Good voice"
Scott MacMillan, Oct 20, 2012

"A voice this sweet and sure and musically eloquent is a voice I would like to have the privilege of hearing more often." Halifax Herald, July 13, 1998

Guy (born Ottawa, ON) is an exceptionally talented singer, guitarist and songwriter. He plays original songs either solo, or with a band. Guy is a seasoned performer, having sang at many large shows with 'MacCrimmon's Revenge', including the Vancouver Folk Festival, the Halifax Jazz Festival, Celtic Colours, the Lunenburg Folk Festival (twice), Atlantic Airwaves (three times).

In the spring of 1996, Guy luckily performed for The Corrs for 2 hours at an empty club in Halifax, NS. Then that September, he co-headlined Atlantic Airwaves along with Damhnait Doyle.

Guy's 2005 debut won the USA Songwriting Competition sponsored "One to Watch" designation. His track 'In A Dream' stayed on's top 10 throughout that summer.

On February 28, 2013, Guy released his 2nd album, which is more upbeat, tuneful, and diverse. Several radio stations have already expressed their interest in the material.

His influences range from singer-songwriters (ie James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Paul Simon, Neil Young) to powerpop (ie The Beatles, Cheap Trick, XTC, Elvis Costello, Barenaked Ladies, Joe Jackson, Steve Miller).

Set List

i told you, take for granted, i saw it in your eyes, holding back, another worthless day, change it up, tell me now, write a song, if only i met you, be like me, feel the sun, loneliness above, sunken dreams, the song, in a dream, waters warm,
something's wrong, silent for a time, open road, sitting on high, little bird, heaven knows, slow burn, never stopped running, Can't run on hope, summer seems

we got to have peace
less than zero
once in a very blue moon
pleasant valley sunday
she said she said
father and son
only a memory
long road to ruin
one week
what i got
new age girl
good love never dies
pop rocks and coke
i'm the man, next to you
the joker
you may be right
it's all been done
too little too late
ticket to ride
peace, love
hurts so good
good people
boylife in america
i can see for miles

what's so funny about peace
already gone
+3 beautiful girls
i know theres a word
