"Clearly adhering to their musical brethren before them, the genre blending and bending sounds of Gypsy Bandwagon are on full display with their respectable self-released debut album "Stole my Mule".
Gypsy Bandwagon incorporates a wide variety of styles of music ranging from the Greek inspired jam of “Viko” to the Irish acoustic tunes found on “Walls of Liscarroll\Old Joe’s Jig” and “Scollay’s Reel.” You’ll immediately find yourself tapping your feet and wishing there was a dance floor nearby." - Joe Hooten - Smoky Mountain News
"You'll like them if: You're a big Celtic fan with an even bigger sense of humor.
Gypsy Bandwagon understands their plundered genres like astute scholars wearing clown noses." - Earful - Mountain Express
"Last night I witnessed an energetic performance by Gypsy Bandwagon.
They played lively Irish and Scottish jigs and reels, tunes that sounded a little bit Bluegrass, Classical piano numbers and traditional Gypsy pieces. I imagined a New England Tavern must have sounded much like last night over a hundred or two hundred years ago." - 1000 Black Lines
"What planet are you girls from?" - Audience member from Dec 2 show

Bio
We are Gypsy Bandwagon - zany folk band from the Great Smoky Mountains in Waynesville, North Carolina!
We play Irish-Gypsy, Mountain-Western music, with strong attempts at comedy thrown in.
Though we play a variety of musical styles, our strength lies in the duet-duelling fiddles of Carissa Moore and Karin Lyle. These girls work hard, play fast, and do not let up!
We are currently recording our next CD and will resume live performances in summer of 2007.
Our band members have diverse musical influences - but we've never tried to mimic anyone else's style.
Everyone in the band contributes songwriting and arrangements. It has always been a grass-roots project, with the band doing it all -
Percussionist James Lyle (also a fabulous artist, creates our cartoons and illustrations)
Lance Moore, guitarist, designed and constructed our fan-friendly, goofy website..
Studio time can be fun and rewarding.
But it is the live performance that we enjoy most!
