Bio
Gypsy Caravan is a bluesy, Southern rock band playing covers ranging from standards by The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to less mainstream artists including Govt Mule and Johnny Winter. Utilizing a three-piece band format, Gypsy Caravan plays rock and blues in the tradition of the great power-trios such as Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and ZZ Top. Gypsy Caravans song base is comprised mostly of cover songs that are familiar to a crowd, but also lend themselves for the occasional improvisational jams that allows the band to personalize their music. The band is slowly starting to mix in a few originals. The members of Gypsy Caravan have more than 25 years combined musical experience and include Jason White, Eli Giddish, and Chuck Parrish. While Jason and Chuck were playing together backing a local acoustic act, the two realized their common interest in blues and classic rock music, they decided to jump start Gypsy Caravan with Chuck playing bass, and also joined by Eli Giddish on drums. All three members are currently balancing time between Gypsy Caravan and other projects in the Statesboro area.
