Gypsy Jo is an original singer-songwriter from the hills of New England who brings an organic vibe with her acoustic guitar and calming vocals.  Her indie-folk-rock sound developed out of her roots in classical piano and rock n’ roll, with dynamics varying from delicate finger-picking to emotionally powerful chords.  Always an advocate for local music, she is credited with introducing and hosting open mics at two locations in Collinsville, CT in 2010.  Returning home from California has inspired her to renew focus on her own music and the development of her upcoming albums.  Original songs tell tales of her relationship with others, life and herself; making it easy to connect and understand the songs on a personal level. Lyrics are both thought-provoking and poetic.  In “The Garden Song”, she paints a picture of personal growth with love, “I’ve planted a garden to watch it grow, and now I know, it’s full of escape plans; In the center of it all, I hold my heart, surrounded by wall.”
