Outside was cold&misty,Oct 14,but inside webster's it was warm&cozy with books evrywhere to amuse the eyes &the fresh aroma of coffee filling the air.
People sat at tables doing schoolwork or stopped by for a cup of joe&a chat.One could pretend to be at out-of the-way coffeehouse as the silkky melody of the blues flowed out of Gypy's mouth.

A Pittsburgh native,Gypsy earned her nickname from friends who noticed that she walked everywhere.
She has been playing piano since she was 4 years old.Her mom was a music teacher&influenced her love of music;however it was her grandmother who gave her n organ&jukebox with the Rolling Stones on it,which really got her,she said.By the age of 14 she had learned to play by ear&formed a band calledthe Wildflowers,with her friends.
Now she is a serious blues singer&has been told she sounds like "Janis Joplin doing Leadbelly".She is also a part of a five piece band called Gypsy&Crazymoon.She &her band have played inHarrisburg,New York,Philadelphia.AltoonaState College & other cities.

Her big hit is called"Roll With Me Baby"She says it repeats because thats what blues does.The song is included on a copiliation CD titled Code Pearl(Scatterd Pearls),which pays tribute to JAnis Joplin.A portion of the proceeds from sales of the CD will go to Hurricane Katrina .Gypsywas one of 36 women out of 136 ,chosen to add their voices to the CD. - by ebun Adewumi/Voices MAgazine of Central Pennsylvania/Arts&Entertainment/November 2005
