Bio

ROBBIE HOSKINS a.k.a H

HIP HOP ARTIST /CHOREOGRAPHER / FILM MAKER

Born and raised in Flint, Michigan USA, Robbie Hoskins aka ‘H’ has a gift for music and dance choreography. He started very young imitating Michael Jackson performing at various elementary schools through out the city. This was just the beginning of his legendary career that was about to unfold in the next 25 years! H’ landed his first choreography/dance gig with the local Flint rap group “The Dayton Family”. Briefly signed to Atlantic Records, TDF gave him the opportunity to tour the Midwest region in 1992. He kept the momentum going in 1993, when he was called by MC Breed to choreograph and dance on a Nationwide Tour while Attending Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. The word began to travel, and Melvin Riley of ‘Ready for the World’ was next to incorporate the style and energy of H’s choreography and performance. This 1994 episode introduced him to the big screen performing Melvin Riley’s hit single “Whose Is It” on BET Television with millions of viewers!

H’ thinking he had hit his mark was in for an even bigger surprise. In 1995 he auditioned for Aaliyah in Detroit, and was chosen for her World Tour “Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number”. The R.Kelly produced album went double platinum and ‘H’ realized that he was one of the best in the field. In the next couple years he focused on artist development and management of a local group called Rough Edges, which resulted in a Midwest Tour and valuable entrepreneur experience for him. At the end of 1999, he was back choreographing and dancing for ‘Night and Day’, a R&B group on Jive Records. It was back on the road again performing on a Nationwide Tour.

In 2002 Mr. Hoskins then settled back in Atlanta where he performed and choreographed for ‘How you Luv Dat Records’ on a Southern Tour. This tour included working for R&B and Hip Hop groups. One of the things that makes him stand out is his high energy! It was evident when Visions Nightclub, the biggest Hip Hop club in Atlanta at the time, hired him as a hype freestyle dancer to get the party started. By this time ‘H’ lived in 5 States and absorbed the styles of those areas which only expanded his style. There was only one more move to make from there. It was time to leave the country and go overseas. He was hired by a company in South Africa to choreograph and dance in a huge Hip Hop concert. He hit Johannesburg like a storm and did much more than what he went for. H’ choreographed for Chomee, a top artist in South Africa, taught at Virgin Active, and judged and choreographed for a dance show on Channel ‘O’, which airs to 50 countries in Africa! Hoskins recorded a lot of video of South Afria and decided to make a documentary about what’s really going on in Africa. Since the USA media never shows Africa as having cities full of skyscrapers, Bmw’s, and shopping malls, he did a film called ‘The Truth About Africa’. This documentary is a must see for all, especially black America old and young. Returning in 2008 to continue his mission, and up till now 2010, he has danced and choreographed for the WorldCup Anthem ‘Jabulani’ performed by HHP and PJ Powers, taught at Planet Fitness and Virgin Active gyms, and passing on his gift to kids at after school programs.

In the mist of all the dancing, H has recorded his own Hip Hop CD ‘God’s Soldier’ that will soon be released world wide. Being that he is no stranger to the stage or the business of music, success is inevitable! Robbie L. Hoskins would like to thank The Most High for all and everything. Family, Friends, Teachers who has groomed him to become who he is. This CD is dedicated to those in his family who has passed on, the future generations to be inspired to write and stand for what’s right, and those living now in this time of tribulation and revelations. The wicked are constantly going after the minds of the children to keep them away from nature and Godliness. The children must be protected and taught the Word by any means necessary! In the midst of this battle is born one of ‘God’s Soldiers’.

H is also well learned in the business aspects of the entertainment industry. With a few years of managing artists and organizing his own endeavors gave him the knowledge and insight to guarantee his longevity in the entertainment industry. This is his life. This is his love. Just put on the music and his energy alone will captivate you. Through out H’s career he has been in concerts with: 2 Live Crew, Montel Jordan, Changing Faces, Young Jeezy, Keith Sweat, Run Dmc, Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg,
Too Short, Mary J. Blige, Boys to Men, Aretha Franklin, 2 Pac, Wu Tang
