Bio

In April 2002, Michell approached Taka to set up a new band. At that time, Michell was looking for a new activity after the plastic gang fish, a band that he had joined, broke up. Taka was at that time involved with a band called Daytripper, however, he was thinking of establishing a new band.
The two, who were both looking for a new session, found themselves as kindred spirits and soon started to scout out other members for the new band.
The drummer was to Taka?fs old friend Shigeki, with whom Taka had joined Daytripper.
As for the bassist, they invited Go, who used to have in a band with Michell called Tanaka that was legendary Kagoshima. Go, who was then in-between bands, got good vibes from them to become a regular member. Then, Haight Ashbury had complete lineup. It started writing songs soon.
All four members got their inspirations from Western music, thus these songs have a Western taste.

Spending a year compiling original songs, Haight Ashbury recorded its first mini album. Shigeki, who was the sound engineer, played a main roll in producing the album.
