"London Rocks 2011"

Habit will appear unplugged at London Rocks. This young teen band are a true
inspiration and are without doubt the next big thing! Their self-penned material has
a maturity ridiculously beyond their years and their skill as musicians has you
asking yourself if they were practising in the womb! Digging deep into their pencil
case of mixed crayons, influences include The Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand,
Florence and the Machine and The Zutons. Despite the lean towards indie, we can
promise that hooks are a plenty. Why ‘Habit’ I hear you ask. The love of playing
became so habit forming to Henry, Finn and Grant that the name just seemed to
slide into place. - Kezi Silverstone

Bio

We are a young unsigned three piece indie/alternative band that formed in March 2010 after seperate musical projects folded. The band consists of; Henry Boddy, 15, Finn McGowan, 15 and Grant Taylor, 16. Playing original music and covers and giging almost every week at various venues throughout the South East Habit have gained a solid fanbase that is ever growing. After headlining Foal Farm Festival, we have had huge interest from record company's and producers. John Warren a music promoter, approached us, and recently has promoted us to many of his contacts, such as Kezi Silverstone, and even Universal Records in California. After meeting Kezi, we were confirmed a slot at London Rocks festival in London, Picadilly, infront of many major record companies and producers. In 2010 we released two EP's, one is April and another in December, with a total of 8 songs released within a year, many proving very popular at gigs. One of our songs, 'missing' was chosen to be part of a charity album called 'forever searching', to raise awareness of missing children. Influences include, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Florence + the Machine and The Zutons. Looks like a big year for Habit!
