Bio

Haeley Vaughn is on her way to becoming country pop's next darling with a genuine optimism and enthusiasm for singing that cannot be deterred.

Her passion for singing was cultivated in the bathtub at just three years old, kicking off a childhood spent belting out tunes to anyone who would listen. Haeley poured her heart and soul into singing and explored every possible outlet, including her church and school choirs.

Picking up the guitar at 13, this spunky gal taught herself simple melodies and eventually sought out a teacher as she grew more serious. The summer right before her junior year in high school, she tried out for Season 9 of American Idol. At 16, she toted her brand new red guitar to the American Idol auditions in Denver where she became an immediate judge favorite. During her American Idol "Hollywood Week" rounds, things finally felt like they were falling into place for the budding singer. Haeley was one of the Top 10 girls out of the Top 20 of Season 9 and this gave her the confidence boost she needed to "hit the ground running" in terms of her career.

After gaining recognition for her Idol stint, Haeley's next step was obvious if she wanted to it in the biz: a move to Nashville. Following in the footsteps of country greats and some of her own idols like Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean, Haeley packed her bags and relocated to Music City. Since her move, she has been writing and performing non-stop and has taken part in several industry events, including performing at the CMA Music Festival for the past 3 years in a row, and playing famous venues such as the Bluebird Cafe and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on Broadway.

Haeley's first EP, Hoot n' Holler, was released this spring and features five fun and frisky songs, all of which she wrote. A big must for tunes is  that they simply make people happy and get them on their feet. "I love country music. but I also love certain elements of pop because it gets people dancing." I'm all about having a good time and treating every night a Saturday night!" said Haeley.

While Haeley has already accomplished so much, she has no plans of settling down anytime soon. "My motto is: When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say 'I used everything You gave me."
