"HAFFO - Floating Through Town"

While many bands claim to be unique and difficult to categorize,
it usually ends up being fairly easy to sum up their sound
in a few words. Haffo is one of the rare exceptions to that rule. On
their second full-length album, Floating Through Town, the band
really is all over the place, seemingly switching genres and moods
from song to song. The album-opening “Made to Wait” combines
elements of pop punk, funk, hard rock and even Sublime’s reggae-
tinged groove rock. The second song, “24 Thoughts,” could
best be described as prog punk, combining punk’s simplicity with
elaborate guitar licks and time changes. Haffo lightens things up
in the middle of the album with a short and bluesy untitled song
and the wah-soaked funk of “Avoiding Reprimand” giving way to
“Reach Out,” another Sublime-y exercise in “reggatta de blanc.”
“Journey to the North Pole” is a jazzy instrumental that leads into
“Select Recall,” which utilizes the classic quiet/loud dynamic of
Nirvana and the Pixies. “Stations” is a fairly straightforward acoustic
ballad, while the album’s closer, “JP Goes” sounds like a more
experimental Red Hot Chili Peppers. Haffo could pose problems
for listeners who like their music predictable and easy to digest,
but music fans with diverse taste should find Floating Through
Town a welcome challenge. - Mike Meyer - College Times (AZ)

Bio

Haffo has been creating their original blend of music and performing high energy shows across the West Coast since 2003. Their individual characteristics and personalities bring a presence to their performances that really make the audience feel involved with the music. This type of energy helps continually add new faces to their diverse and dedicated fan base.

All five members of Haffo bring a different element to the bands music. They each get a chance to put their own spin on songs throughout the writing process. This gives them their unique and experimental sound while keeping it in the realm of music anyone can get into. Vocalist Jordan Perry, guitarist Kyle Rogers and drummer Evan Knisely have been playing music together for the last 6 years. New members Alex Losardo (Guitar) and Amador Gonzalez (Bass) have also brought strong musical backgrounds to the table.

They have experienced success in playing shows both locally and on the road. Some of the memorable shows include playing The Warped Tour in Arizona at the Peoria Sports Complex in 2004 as well as a sold out CD release show in 2005 to five hundred loyal fans. The band has played well over 150 shows and willing to go the extra mile for the next big performance.

The driving factor that Haffo possess' is a strong understanding of giving the audience a show. They understand what people expect to see at a show and try to one up that expectation. They know what they need to do to get their audience drawn into their live performance and they do it naturally with a spark that is hard to match.
