Bio
Glenn Marais is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar, harmonica and piano. He currently performs as a solo artist and with the band, Haight Ashbury.
• In November 2005, Glenn flew to Africa to film a video for his song, “Like a Child”. It debuted on Much More Music on Jan.30th/2006 and is currently number one on Much More Music’s “Clip Trip” show.
• The CD/DVD for Like a Child will be available in March 2006 through Indie Pool online at www.likeachild.ca and the CD contains four bonus songs, from upcoming release, Alive in the Mud and the DVD has the video, documentary footage and live performance footage.
• Glenn hired Last Tango Productions to promote Like a Child and it is currently in rotation on 20 AC and HOT AC stations across Canada, receiving rave reviews:

Rays Reviews
• Glenn recently came second in the Mix 99.9 Canadian Radio Star Contest, with his entry, “Don’t Let Your Love Go”.
• In 2000, he co-wrote the song “Everybody Wants to Be Like You”, with the artist, “Snow”
• The song was the second fastest rising song in Canadian history, reaching the Top Ten and is currently the fifth most played song in history on Canadian radio. Glenn received a Socan award and was nominated for a Juno award in the best songwriting category.
• Glenn was the session guitarist for the recording of Snow’s record, “Mind on the Moon” featuring Everybody Wants to Be like You at Longview Farm Studios in Brookfield, Massachusetts.
• Glenn’s band, Haight Ashbury have opened for Alan Frew of the band, “Glass Tiger” at the CNE band shell, appeared on the CHCH Television show ‘Road Stories’, hosted by Alan Frew, jammed with blues guitar legend Jeff Healey, shared the stage with actor Steven Segal, and played hundreds of shows throughout Toronto, the USA and Canada.
• Glenn has supported the charity, The Starlight Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for terminally ill children, for a number of years now. To date he has raised over 10,000 dollars for the Starlight Children’s’ Foundation.
• In June 1992, Glenn auditioned for the band, “The Red Hot Chili Peppers”, in Hollywood, California
Glenn is active in songwriting and producing for several different artists in addition to live performance
and independent CD releases on his own and with Haight Ashbury.
