Bio

Hail The Villain are the new face of melodic hard rock. Formed in the city of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada in September 2003, they are: Bryan Crouch (Lead Vocals), Joseph Stamp (Guitar), Chad Taylor (Bass) and Drew Dockrill (Drums)

The four piece craft a hard driving, contagious sound that fuels the undeniable intensity of their on-stage performance. Take the textured fullness of System of a Down, combine it with the rhythmic quality of Deftones, the riff intensity of Slipknot, the catchiness of a Foo Fighters’ melody and you have Hail The Villain. They are creating unique and infectious dark anthems that are grabbing the attention of rock fans worldwide.

Only three months after Hail The Villain had formed, under the name Farenheit, they played a showcase at The Rivoli in Toronto that earned them a chance to work with producer Gavin Brown, (Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Thornley). Within weeks were opening shows for Billy Talent, Pilate and Thornley. Singer Crouch often says "It felt like we went from just another local punk band to a respected rock threat in just 2 days!”. This very exciting beginning solidified an everlasting connection between the foursome, and reinstated their belief that they had formed a remarkably special band.

In their three and a half years together, Hail The Villain has worked relentlessly to earn the respect of their fans and have evolved into a hard rock hit machine. They have become renowned for their captivating live shows, and have established a faithful following. The group wrote and released their first self produced record “Disconnected” in early 2006 and had Dave "Brown Sound" Baksh of Sum 41 perform live with them during a sold-out CD release party. For this record the band toured Ontario, appeared on 102.1 The Edge, and 94.9 The Rock. They received national distribution through iTunes and HMV, as well as rave reviews in local newspapers and Gasoline Magazine.

Most recently, they have teamed up with Producer, Darryl Romphf and Engineer Alex "Condor" Aligizakis, to record their latest album and greatest accomplishment, “POPULATION: DECLINING”. Mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica, Slipknot), the heavy melodic "My Reward" has already been spun on 99.3 the Fox in Vancouver.

With the strength of their new record, Hail The Villain will hold an album release party in Ontario (date TBA) and will be playing shows coast to coast to support the album’s release. In the mean time, if you have the chance, be sure to see Hail The Villain live. It may just prove to be one of the best live rock shows you have seen in years.
