Bio
Hairline Fracture has a genuine chemistry on stage which is the result of a longstanding friendship. The band was originally formed in 2001 by Richard Gilbaugh and Andy O’Hara on guitar, and Sean McGivern on drums. It progressed quickly afterward, adding Tim Porter on vocals, and Ned Barclay on bass. After a modest beginning playing school functions and other local events, Hairline Fracture came into its own, featuring prominently on the Iowa City bar scene, and events all over eastern Iowa.
Voted runner-up for the best local band in Iowa City in 2004, Hairline Fracture won the honor in 2005. The band just recently finished their first album at Catamount Studios in Cedar Falls, which is set to be released this October. As Hairline Fracture continues writing music and playing shows, they look to expand their rapidly growing fan base all over the mid-west.
