Biography

Haleemah is a female Dance/R&B/Pop/Rock artist who has emerged from the city of Brooklyn, NY, with vocal abilities comparable to that of Micki Howard, Gladys Knight, and Cheryl Lynn. This singing diva has captured the hard and true realities of love, relationships, goodtimes, and hardships in every lyric that is written in her songs.

Haleemah (Haleemah Turner) started her singing career at the age of 11. She started out at the Mary Bruce Dance Theater in Harlem (New York, NY) where she studied ballet and tap dancing. Having performed in front of audiences at an early age she later joined the 72nd street theatre (New York, NY) at the age of 15, where she further developed her acting, and singing skills. At the age of 16 after singing background vocals for local artists she became a discovery of Fresh Records Inc., a New York corporation. In 1986 she wrote "Never Gonna Let You Go" which was released and was a smashing hit in the summer of 1987. In 1988 she formed Rasheedah Productions, a publishing company established through ASCAP. After "Never Gonna Let You Go", Haleemah would appear at various jazz nightclubs, throughout the New York area. At the age of 22 she began attending Basement Recordings in Brooklyn New York and later relocated to Georgia and attended Goldberg Management Studios in Atlanta in order to enhance her engineering abilities. Joining the Frustrated Records team an Independent Record Label established in 1996, Haleemah is not only an artist but also the Sr. Vice President in charge of all Productions.
