Half Deaf

Jeremy Wortham started making music with his best friend, Brody Simmons, at the age of 14. Half Deaf didn't begin making music until he was 19. Jeremy was punched in his left ear at age 19 and perforated his eardrum. After a few surgeries to try and reverse the issue, he went completely deaf, and Left Ear Can't Hear was born.

The doctors told him he wouldn't be the same musician as he would've been if he had both his ears. Some of his friends said the same thing, but he didn't believe them. He couldn't hear them. "I'm 'ably disabled,'" he said.

Fast forward to the present, and Half Deaf has grown roots in Austin, Texas. In the last two years, with the help of Cory Price, Roman Samuels, and Brody Simmons, he has put together two full length albums, and three EPs. He also drew the cover art for "L.E.F.T.Y's First Week on Earth," and has painted a 3' x 3' self portrait for the cover art of his newest album "The Self Portrait", in which he is depicted with a bandage over his left ear.

This new album is a fuse of soft rock and rap, or "rap and roll" as he likes to call it, and he is showing no signs of losing steam. He's on a mission to prove something to everyone that said he couldn't do this himself.
