Half Past the Revolution

Since their beginnings in Ventura, Half Past The Revolution has played all around Southern California and has opened for the likes of Attila, Escape the Fate and The Plot In You. HPTR has been featured in interviews with Rock City Studios and The Music Project. They have amassed nearly 1,000 likes on their Facebook page and 2,300 followers on their Instagram account.

Half Past the Revolution formed in 2013 as the lovechild between the creativity of guitarist Michael Hampton and his desire to to play in a heavy band that would inspire people as much as his favorite artists inspired him. After writing for a year HPTR took the stage for the first time and began their career as a theatrical metal band who emphasized their live performance. Shortly after, HPTR picked up vocalist Ryan Alahakoon who introduced an element of horror to the outfit, fronting performances that would leave fans feeling as if they needed an exorcism.

In the summer of 2015, guitarist Chris Marsh and drummer Kenny Kuhnhofer joined the band to round out HPTR’s current lineup and begin writing and recording the band’s first full-length record. “Words of Thieves” will be released on July 14, 2017, and showcases the band’s newfound love for clean vocal melodies and lyrics that address the emotional and political turmoil of their generation.
