Half Empty

The band itself mainly consists of one person, Matt Goodwin. He's a singer-songwriter born in Los Angeles. He moved to Bellingham, WA, when he was 9 and began playing music when he was 10. Recently he went on a 2 year backpacking trip around the globe, playing music in various clubs and bars, or for a couple bucks on a street corner. His main influences are old school blues (Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson), with some punk rock (Thrice, Strung Out), thrown in. The other drop in members are Tristan Cheesman on drums, Gabriel Williams-Taime on hand drums, and Tony Zapien on bass, drums, vocals, and production. Tristan and Gabe hail from Norcal near San Jose and played with Matt throughout the College years and thereafter. The three are very close friends and used to be roomates. Tony is a musician/producer from Bellingham WA. Working mostly in rock and hip hop, he enjoyed his chance to participate in Half Empty. A close personal friend of Matt's and an incredible musician.
