Bio
Michael Holmbeck founded Half Scorpio with intentions of becoming a solo singer/songwriter. That formula dissipated after he realized his songs were more suited towards a band. His first recruit was Ricky Bowen. His metal drummer chops were enough to mow down an oak tree. Ricky's style might seem unconventional when combined with a twelve string acoustic guitar, but he was a great fit. The rest of the band fell quickly into place. Severino Myers, an award winning bassist, was well known in the area and high regarded within the local music community. Bart Black well brought his classic rock style into fold, meshing his unique style with Sev's bluesy bass licks. The final piece of the puzzle fell into place with the addition of the beautiful and talented Candice Myers. As the lead vocalist of Half Scorpio, she brings an intensity that can not be matched.
