VanMusic invited local, new band, Hallow Moon to an East Van backyard, recently, to speak more about their music and projects. It was quite the avant garde setting and scenario. On some of the outdoor walls and fences were rather goddessy, artsy and colourful paintings. Luckily, it was a nice, sunny day and early evening. Right off, entering the large, garden area that bordered on several, like minded and neighbourly houses, a few roaming chickens were spotted. They were quite ‘healthy’ and plump, to say the least! Right away, drummer Nic, quipped “Oh, look. Chickens!” and joked something about them being stars. It was quickly agreed by everyone that the chickens, who were charming everyone into laughter and more lightheartedness, were a very welcome presence. Right away, the mellow rockers scooped up and embraced the birds, and insisted that they had to be part of the photos, interview and videos. Which they were! Bio
Spent the last couple years creating a Buzz in the city of Vancouver. Ready to hit the road with our group and spread the love to the rest of North America and commit ourselves to a life in music. Made up of members of Red Cedar, The Orpheans, The Green Hour Band, the Polished Rocks and Khingfisher. We came together with a lot of song ideas and it has formulated into a surfy, wavy vibe which we are all loving at this point. Heavily influenced by hockey and the Sun and the Moon.
